OIG Cricket

Old Ivanhoe Grammarians Cricket Club (OIGCC) was founded in 1989. In its inaugural 1989/90 season the club fielded one side in 5th grade, expanding to two sides for the 1991/92 season. Over the following years the club consolidated its position in the Heidelberg District Cricket Association (HDCA), and built a reputation as one of the most exciting and spirited clubs in the district.

After winning the 2nd grade flag in 03/04, the club was promoted to 1st grade for the 04/05 season. The club enjoyed success over the following years and were premiers in the final season of the HDCA. Following the disbandment of the HDCA, Old Ivanhoe joined the North Metro Cricket Association (NMCA) from the 2012/13 season.

Maintaining close links with Ivanhoe Grammar School (IGS), the Old Ivanhoe Grammarians’ Association (OIGA), and other Old Ivanhoe sporting bodies, OIGCC teams are made up of a dynamic mix of Ivanhoe Grammar old boys, along with players from all parts of the world. Junior training programs and Milo Cricket clinics are also run by the club throughout the season.

OIGCC currently fields two senior sides & two junior sides and warmly welcomes new players, sponsors and supporters down to the Old Ivanhoe Cricket clubrooms at Chelsworth Park.
