Mr Raymond Hass ‘95

Raymond Hass came to Ivanhoe Grammar School in mid 1993, having migrated from South Africa, and was an integral part of the School’s winning team at the 1994 ASGV Swimming Sports as a backstroker and freestyler. He continued his swimming career after school and over the next eight years held three National titles, was a Pan Pacific and Commonwealth Records holder in the 200m backstroke and a gold medalist at the 2001 Goodwill Games. Ray represented Australia in many relay events culminating with a gold medal at the World Short Course Championships in the 4x200m freestyle in 2002.
