Mr Ken Carnie ‘64

Ken Carnie attended Ivanhoe from 1959 until 1964 and built up an impressive sporting and academic record over that time. He was awarded full colours for swimming in ’60, ’61, ’62 and was Captain of Swimming in that year. He was awarded full colours for Gymnastics in ’62 and ’63 and Athletics, Cricket and Football full colours were attained in ’63 and ’64. This stunning record makes Ken the only recipient of quintuple full colours in the school’s history. As well as his sporting prowess, Ken matriculated with a Commonwealth Scholarship in 1964. That year he was also Vice Captain of School and Captain of Athelstane. Ken holds a BCom (Melb), an MBA (Melb) and had a distinguished career in industry, working for John Elliott at Fosters and Lloyd Williams at Crown Casino before setting up his own consultancy in Marketing and Management.
