Mr Harry A Jenkins Jnr AO ‘69

Harry spent his entire school life at Ivanhoe and, following a brief career in the Public Service, was elected as Member for the Federal seat of Scullin in 1986.  In a long and distinguished career Harry became Speaker of the House of Representatives in 2007 and retired in 2013.

He was awarded an Officer of the Order of Australia in 2014 for distinguished service to the Parliament of Australia, particularly as a presiding officer and through a range of outreach and inter-Parliamentary programs.
