Wayside Chapel has provided unconditional love, care, and support to the most vulnerable people on and around the streets of Sydney since 1964. Our mission is to create a community with no ‘us and them’, and address the underlying issues of inequality, disadvantage, wellbeing, and loneliness. From our centres in Kings Cross and Bondi and through outreach teams, we offer a range of support services that place dignity, respect, and love at the heart of what we do. Our staff and volunteers work together, seven days a week, to provide those of our community who are experiencing homelessness and social isolation with a safe space and vital essentials such as showers and emergency clothing, as well as information and referral services. We also provide opportunities for the wider community to get involved, including corporate volunteering.
