2015 Plenty Alumna and current Culver-Stockton College student-athlete Kehley Bitzas has been selected as the 2019 National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics’ A.O. Duer Scholarship Award recipient. The award recognizes student-athletes who excel in scholarship, character, and citizenship. Bitzas is a standout goalkeeper for the women’s soccer team. Bitzas set the school career shutout mark in three years and currently has 21 shutouts in her career. In 2018, Bitzas recorded seven shutouts and was subsequently named to the Heart of America Athletic Conference first-team and the NAIA All-America team as an honorable mention selection. Head coach Tyler Tomlinson described Kehley as “one of the most determined and focused students I have coached at Culver-Stockton, She is a very talented player and has left her legacy all over our soccer record books. While starring on the field, Kehley is also kicking goals off the field. Kehley is currently majoring in psychology and has hopes of pursuing a career in occupational therapy, not to mention she is maintaining a perfect 4.0 GPA. Outside of her accolades Kehley is dedicated to serving others. Kehley has taken part in causes such as Field of Dreams Uganda, the annual Kick it for Cancer game and Toys for Tots.
