Mr Ian C Rule ‘67

After graduating from University, Ian taught at Kerang High School before joining the staff at Ivanhoe Grammar School in 1976. In a period of 22 years service he was at times, Director of Studies and Director of Development before being appointed the Foundation Head of Plenty Campus in 1990. In 1998, Ian was appointed Principal of Goulburn Valley Grammar School, a position he held until his retirement in 2008. He has been the author of and contributor to a number of Geography textbooks and was also the co-author of ‘Preston, An Illustrated Story’, a history of the Melbourne suburb.  Ian is a Life Governor of the School.
